The incident occurred at about 9 a.m. Thursday, May 25 eastbound east of the Pleasantville Toll Plaza, according to the South Jersey Transportation Authority.
A truck carrying glass dropped glass on the roadway, said Trooper Charles Marchan of the New Jersey State Police.
No one was hurt, he said.
Two right lanes and the shoulder were closed, 511nj.org reported.
